Both are Suzuki Siblings yet both are rivals!

Both the Fronx and Baleno are built on the Heartect platform, which means they have the same powertrain. The Baleno is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 90hp and 113Nm of torque and is available with a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. Additionally, the Baleno has a CNG option with the same 1.2-litre engine, but with reduced output at 77.5hp and 98.5Nm, and is only available with the manual gearbox.

To differentiate the Fronx from the Baleno, the former features a split headlamp design, while the latter has a more traditional headlamp design. Additionally, the Baleno comes with chrome garnish on its door handles, which is absent in the Fronx. Both cars are equipped with 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, but they have different designs.

Moving to the rear, the Fronx has thin tail-lamps connected by an LED light bar, while the Baleno’s tail-lamps are C-shaped and connected by a chrome strip. The Baleno has its number plate housed in the rear bumper, whereas the Fronx has it placed on the tailgate. Moreover, the Fronx comes with a shark fin antenna, whereas the Baleno has a conventional antenna.

Difference in interiors

While there are some noticeable differences in the exterior design of the Fronx and Baleno, their interior designs are quite similar. Both models have dual-tone interiors, but the Baleno features a combination of dark grey and blue, whereas the Fronx has a black and burgundy finish. The dashboard designs of the two cars are also slightly different, with the Fronx featuring thicker chrome accents than the Baleno.

The Baleno and Fronx share many features, including a 9.0-inch touchscreen display equipped with Maruti Suzuki’s SmartPlay Pro+ system, which allows for wireless connectivity to smartphones. Both models also come with a heads-up display, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, and a wireless charger.

In terms of size, the Fronx is slightly larger than the Baleno in all aspects except for the wheelbase, which is the same at 2,520mm. The Fronx measures 3,995mm in length, 1,765mm in width, and has a height of 1,550mm, while the Baleno measures 3,990mm in length, 1,745mm in width, and has a height of 1,500mm. Moreover, the Fronx has a higher ground clearance of 190mm, which is 20mm more than the Baleno.
